Completed in 2007, the Centre was designed specifically to provide a venue for Equestrianism, and is now a showpiece in itself. Set up in the inspiring location of Aintree Racecourse, home of the Randox Grand National, Aintree International Equestrian Centre boasts some of the very best facilities within the UK, and is available for competitions or private hire. The arena is also suitable for hosting horse sales, equine trade related events, clinics and can be easily adapted to suit all requirements.
The versatile arena is not only a centre of excellence for equestrian pursuits it is also able to cater for large exhibitions, conferences and corporate dinners. The arena is easily transformed into 3700 sq metres of exhibition space with the simple installation of a plastic hard floor that covers the two arenas. It also boasts the convenience of free car parking on the doorstep and good disabled access.
With an extensive area of 70m x 30m, the main arena is ideal for a range of activities:
- Show jumping
- Pony club disciplines
The raised judges and commentators box, featuring a state of the art PA system, provides an excellent view over the main arena.
There are over 160 permanent stables, with a solarium, sand pit and wash down facilities available within the racecourse grounds for shows of a duration of two days or more, together with basic lodge accommodation and a canteen. There is also a large hard standing area to provide additional temporary stabling when required.
